Build an island village one hex tile at a time. Match the edges, grow the village, and keep it dry when the tide comes in.
Spend shells to add more uses of each special tile.
Pick one of the three tiles in your hand and place it next to your island. Every tile has six edges: Each edge that matches its neighbour scores 10. A perfect tile (3 or more neighbours, all matching) scores a bonus and adds a tile to your deck.
Same-terrain edges join into areas. An area is complete when nothing more can join it: that scores a bonus, and big areas (8+ sides) earn a Raise. Villages grow houses and a tower at 9 sides, fields grow a windmill at 6.
Every few tiles the tide rises one step (the gauge at the top shows when). A tile stands on its ground: high ground is safe, low ground is not, and a tile placed where the ground is under water rises only to the waterline. Tiles with a pulsing blue ring flood on the next rise, and the sea takes them (-15). After high water the tide swings down and up again. A storm makes the next rise surge one step higher.
Raise lifts a tile one step (twice at most). A Sea Dike lifts every tile next to it. When the tiles run out, every dry tile scores 4.
Whales surface beside the island: place a tile next to one for +30 and a Raise. Gulls bring a driftwood tile that matches anything. An ebb pulls the tide down a step.
Set Sail: 30 islands, each with a goal. Meet it for a good island and a shell, and score well for two more. Spend shells at the Harbor for more special tiles. Daily Tide: one island for everyone today. Endless: the tide never stops rising.
